I created this “hair” brush over twelve hours of work. The brush now hangs on my bathroom wall and holds hair clips and barrettes.

This texture was another instance of interpreting the product through material. The art director gave me free reign to manipulate fabrics and textures to represent the scalp and hair. I wove jersey yarn and dyed rope into an existing ribbed mesh fabric to achieve a piece that could be manipulated into many looks.
